Back in March of this year the Yarmouth High School robotics team was invited to visit team sponsor Brooks Automation. Brooks Automation specializes in robotic handling systems for the semiconductor market. Their engineers have developed some of the most innovative and equally recognizable material handling systems know in the semiconductor manufacturing environment. Chances are if you have ever seen a video where electronic chips are being produced, you've seen a piece of Brooks technology at work. Brooks pulled out all the stops to show the team their support and to demonstrate the amazing range of career opportunities that exist in the field of robotics at companies like Brooks Automation. Headquartered in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, Brooks Automation was founded in 1978. Since then they have expanded into global supplier with offices in ten countries located in the key semiconductor manufacturing areas of the world. On the behalf of the Yarmouth High School Vex Robotics team, we would like to whole heartedly thank the entire management and engineering team for spend the day with us and giving so much back to the future.
