FANUC M-1iA Robot deburring fan blades

We regularly hunt for videos on new product, events, and information on the material handling industry. Here is a youtube movie that I believe you will consider interesting.

Do you have the need to debur small parts? A FANUC M-1iA 6-axis robot picks and deburrs a small electric fan blade. The robot picks the part from static nest and moves it to a pneumatic debur tool for deburring. The M-1iA's unique 6 axis wrist allows the robot to articulate each fan blade around the deburring tool. The FANUC M-1iA is designed for small part handling, high speed picking and assembly applications.

FANUC M-1iA Ball Bearing Assembly

A FANUC M-1iA robot locates three different size ball bearings using iRVision and places them into a specific bearing tray. When all three trays are full, the bearings are released back into the picking bin. iRVision is then being used to determine the size and location of the bearing. With the combination of high speed and accuracy of the M-1iA robot and iRVision, the parts are placed into a bearing tray. A health and safety inspector explains what he looks for during a loading dock inspection. Workers are known to face a variety of high-risk hazards in indoor and outdoor shipping and receiving areas of workplaces. Fifteen workers died in incidents involving shipping and receiving areas, including loading docks, between January 1, 2000 and October 31, 2010, according to Ministry of Labour statistics. These fatalities included workers being: •Pinned between forklifts •Pinned between a loading dock and truck or trailer •Pinned between a truck and trailer •Struck by or run over by a truck •Struck by falling items that were not secured, and •Struck by a falling dock plate Inspectors will enforce the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and applicable regulations made under the OHSA using the full range of enforcement options available to them if they observe any contraventions. Focus With the support of Ministry engineers, hygienists and ergonomists, inspectors will focus on the following key priorities: •Immobilization and Securing of Vehicles: Inspectors will check whether trucks and trailers are immobilized and secured to prevent accidental movement in any direction to protect workers engaged in loading and unloading activities and workers in the vicinity. Inspectors will check whether workers using dock locking systems or other securing devices to prevent accidental movement of vehicles have received information, instruction and supervision.
